TATTOOS

Fine line tattoos use thin, precise lines to create a light, delicate appearance. Botanical subjects, small symbols, lettering and outline drawings all suit this approach. A piece can be simple or more detailed while keeping that fine line quality.
You might be drawn to fineline if you want an understated tattoo or a small detail you can see every day. Thin lines do not mean every drawing will work at a tiny size, though. The amount of detail, spacing and placement need to be considered together.
Bring your subject idea and an approximate size to the consultation. References showing the line weight you like are useful too. They help your artist work out which details to keep and which to simplify so the drawing stays clear at the size you choose.
